[Hype on Lookbook]
I was so excited when they told me they were planning to have a Halloween photo shoot some time in October. I was exuberant because it will be my first scary-themed shoot and I really look forward to do something very different this year. After three months of preparation, finally we were able to do our Halloween fun shoot.
My character was pretty challenging. I had to play the role of a Marionette. The whole concept is that I should look like an evil-looking dummy on strings. The costume was mostly made of DIY materials.
Almost everything in this look is hand made. I hand sewed the corset frills and laces to give a crunchy detail. I also took the courage of cutting some hair off my sister’s doll so I could pin them side-to-side with my own my hair.
Of course, the dummy strings were also made by me. I measured them correctly so I could get the correct movement and angle for the shoot.
Lastly, the crinoline skirt made with metal wire, wrapped with garbage bags and painted white.
